Shoppers can pay for their orders with a variety of credit cards, with an A/R charge account, by COD, and/or PayPal. You define the payment methods you accept in your online store. They can be the same as or different from your brick-and-mortar store.
Not only can customers shop your store using their favorite credit cards—American Express, Carte Blanche, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, and Visa—they can also optionally retain their credit card numbers in their account.
Allowing customers to retain their credit card numbers is an easy way to encourage future purchases. Rest assured that the card information is safe and secure. And when you transfer data to and from CPOnline, the card information is always encrypted.
Because CPOnline credit card transactions are processed as secure, fully-qualified ecommerce transactions, they qualify for lower processing fees.
CPOnline allows you to enable real-time credit card authorizations through CPGateway, so that charges are authorized at the time the order is placed, and your customer will instantly know whether or not the charge was approved.
The approval codes are imported into Counter-Point along with your orders, and you can then use CounterPoint to settle these transactions using the same procedures you use to settle credit card charges authorized through CounterPoint.
Optionally collect CVV2/CVC2 information from shoppers. CVV2/CVC2 is the additional 3- or 4-digit security code found on the back of credit cards used with AVS (Address Verification Ser-vice) to help prevent credit card fraud.
Your A/R charge customers can shop with you online and charge their purchases to their accounts using the same restrictions, credit limits, and account holds used in your brick-and-mortar stores.
