Automatically look up shipping rates and track FedEx, UPS, and USPS packages. Shoppers can use tracking numbers from your storefront to locate packages on the FedEx, UPS, and USPS Web sites, and you can optionally store tracking numbers in invoice history (package tracking and invoice history are only available in CounterPoint V7).
When using third-party rate lookups, you can optionally markup the third-party shipping rates by a specific percentage to cover handling charges, etc. And you can add item-specific surcharges to ensure that you charge an appropriate amount for items with special shipping needs (e.g., oversized items that require special packaging, hazardous materials that require special shipping considerations, etc.).
If you receive discounted FedEx or UPS shipping rates, simply enter your account number in Store Management, and all shipping rate lookups will use your contracted rates.
The calculated shipping method lets you define Domestic and International rates for Standard, Express, and Overnight delivery. Rates can be based on the total order weight, a percentage of the total order amount, the number of items you're shipping, or item-specific amounts.
Plus, you can specify minimum and maximum shipping amounts, COD surcharges, per-pound surcharges, per-item surcharges, whether or not to charge for $0.00 orders, and whether to calculate shipping based on the List price or the Sale price.
If neither Third-Party Rates nor Calculated Shipping methods are right for your business, you can define your own table of shipping rates.
Similar to the Calculated Shipping method, the Table Lookup method also lets you define Do-mestic and International rates for Standard, Express, and Overnight delivery.
Shipping rates can be based on either a dollar amount or a percentage of the number of items you're shipping, the price of the item, the total order amount, or the total order weight.
Plus, you can specify minimum and maximum shipping amounts, COD surcharges, per-item surcharges, whether or not to charge for $0.00 orders, and whether to calculate shipping based on the List price or the Sale price.
You can select the default shipping method to use when new shoppers create their accounts. (Shoppers can still change to any shipping method you offer.)
With CPOnline, you have the option to mark any shipping method as free!
If you want more flexibility, use discount codes to offer, for example, free shipping on all orders totaling $100 or more during the month of December. Discount codes can also be limited to a particular state, ZIP code, or country.
